Dhaubadi Iron Company Limited (DICL) is established in B.S. 2076 and intends to produce iron and steel from iron ore deposit located in Nawalparasi East, Nepal.Dhaubadi Iron Company Limited (DICL) is a first government owned organization established in B.S. 2076
To produce Iron and steel based on the iron deposit of Nepal ,especially on Dhaubadi-Iron deposit.to meet the domestic demand of steel and to increase economic growth by reducing the major proportion of steel ingot import.
To be a leading institution from Nepal in steel business in terms of quality, and customer satisfaction.
Establish a steel plant with the production of high-quality iron and reduce the import of Iron through Public-Private Partnership Model using its own iron ore.

Geologically, in 2006, at first Dhaubadi area was known for the occurrence of coal. During the prospecting work for coal resources in this area by Department of Mines and Geology (DMG). Floats and outcrops of iron mineralization were traced on the surface indicating the presence of iron mineralization and since then DMG has conducted a follow-up prospecting and exploration work for the last ten years. The result of exploration shows the encouraging quality and quantity of iron ore around the area. The chemical analysis was done in Chemical Laboratory of Department of Mines and Geology, Lainchaur, Kathmandu and South-West Metallurgical and Geological Testing Center (SMGTC), Chengdu, China under Sichuan Institute of Metallurgical Geology and Exploration, Chengdu, China. The main objective of DICL is to produce iron and steel. The activities includes the detail exploration, mine design, selection of technology, feasibility study, selection of suitable location for the beneficiation plant site and electric steel making plant based on Dhaubadi Iron Deposit.
